Fellowship Overview

The Tech Fellow will assist Montana Legal Services Association (MLSA) in improving the functionality of MLSA's online legal advice platform. Working under the supervision of MLSA attorneys and program staff, the intern will help build the artificial intelligence component of the site to make it easier for clients and attorneys to find appropriate resources. The Fellow will assist in testing the artificial intelligence component, developing resources, tagging materials, and testing of the site overall.

Fellows Duties

The Fellow will assist MLSA in identifying content plain language, accessibility, and SEO needs for MontanaLawHelp.org, and would assist in revising website content for readability. The Fellow will also work with MLSA staff to conduct internal testing of the content sharing tool and search engine modifications. Finally, the Fellow will assist in the creation of a style guide to ensure that best practices for plain language are followed for future development of new content and revision of existing content. The Fellow will help achieve the objectives of the project by helping MLSA implement plain language and readability standards consistently across all MontanaLawHelp resources.
