Become A Partner Law School

ATJ Tech Fellows law school partnerships are established through identifying a commonality of interests and mutual support for the missions of both partners. Partner law schools have a strong commitment to access to justice and equipping their students with the 21st century skills needed in a rapidly changing profession. Establishing strong partnership at the law school level is critical to our program’s long-term success.

Any ABA-accredited law school wishing to participate must identify a ATJ Tech Fellows program coordinator. This individual serves as an liaisons with the ATJ Tech Fellows Program. They must actively promote the program, identify interested students, and share information with student organizations and groups.

The ATJ Tech Fellows program provides summer fellows with a $5,000 stipend for participating in the full-time, 10 week fellowship program. Our funding is made possible through the generosity of individual donors, corporate sponsors, law firms, bar associations, and foundations.

However, law school partners can also arrange to earmark public interest law funds to fellows selected from their institutions. While certainly not required, funding from law school partners is encouraged and allows us to host more fellows over the summer and expand our program.

Individual applicants from law schools with pre-coordinated funding arrangements do not have priority over other applicants. But by covering some or all costs for their students to participate in the summer fellowship program, our program prioritizes marketing, outreach, and recruitment efforts at partner schools with preexisting funding arrangements.
